Review

“I’m highly impressed with the level of detail and ease of reading this comprehensive book on the skills needed for the Tableau Desktop Specialist Certification Exam. Adam breaks down the key components of learning Tableau into highly organized chapters that are full of real Tableau examples, explanations, images, little tips, important takeaways, and knowledge checks at the end. I loved the sections in chapter 7 where Adam goes into detail on the importance of understanding the interesting insights, as he calls them, of how and why Tableau makes charts a certain way. These insights really are key to taking an exam where you don’t actually have access to the data visualization tool. Speaking of exams, having a full set of exam questions to practice on is a huge value addition from this book. As someone who has taken Tableau certification exams, I know that it’s hard to prepare when you aren’t sure what the questions will be like, but Adam has thoughtfully crafted questions that help you to prepare for each section of the exam. Even if you aren’t taking the exam, or perhaps already have, this book is still a huge resource for learning and mastering the foundational skills within Tableau Desktop!”
